Our Story

Got Smoke BBQ was created in 2015 as a competition BBQ team and by 2016 found ourselves in need of a competition trailer. It was at this time we decided to purchase a dual purpose unit and bring our competition flavors to the masses. Our goal since inception was to give our customers a unique BBQ experience by serving Award Winning BBQ packed with tried and true flavor profiles and cooked using the same stringent timeline and processes used during our competitions.

In April of 2017 we opened our mobile food truck and it wasn’t long before we found our calendar booked with events and requests for catering. During our first season we worked with many local businesses including Ellison Brewery, Bywater’s Outdoor Power, U.S. 27 Motorsports, and Tom’s Western Store, our last event for the season was the Grand Opening of Dimes Brewhouse in Dimondale as the first food truck ever in the village.

2018 was an amazing year for Got Smoke BBQ as we were named The Best Food Truck in Mid-Michigan by 100.7 WITL and best in Lansing Area by 97.5 NowFM. We could be found Friday nights at Dimes Brewhouse, Tuesday nights in Corunna for Food Truck Throwdown, and Wednesday nights In Laingsburg for Music in the Park. On top of our scheduled days we had private and public events throughout the Greater Lansing Area including regular visits to Mid-Michigan Community Health North and South locations.
